Video Game Review: Grand Theft Auto IV

Rating System:

0-7= 0 Stars
8-14= 1 Star
15-21= 2 Stars
22-30= 3 Stars
31-35= 4 Stars
36-40= 5 Stars

Gameplay (out of 10)= 3

Grand Theft Auto IV is praised by most people, but not me, one perfect reason is the same old GTA gameplay, the gameplay in GTA IV is pretty much the same as the gameply in all the other Grand Theft Auto games, it's all shooting and stealing cars and stuff, it's fun during the first 15 minutes, but after that it's clear that it's something that has lost it's sense of enjoyment during the PSP's Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories game.

Graphics (out of 8)= 6

The graphics is probably one of the only very few improvement of the Grand Theft Auto game, the game almost looks realistic, but the problem with it is that some cars don't look real, or that there are allot of characters that look alike, and sometimes there next to each other, those two errors kept the game away from looking realistic, but otherwise, the graphics is probably the only thing to look forward to in this game.

Presentation (out of 8)= 2

The game circles around an immigrant from Bosnia named Nikko, who is trying to find the American dream, which was honestly a stupid story for a video game, but then after that, Rockstar games randomly decides to let gangs and mobs attack him, probably the only ups to the story is the fact that people know that there will be allot of action, and the fact that the main character is not a gang member, unlike all the other GTA games, but those two minor ups to the story can't make me forget the fact that this story is one of the dullest stories I've heard for a video game.

Lasting Appeal (out of 8)= 2

There is pretty much nothing to do in the game except for stealing and shooting, there was not really any major attraction that will make the player keep going for more, the missions are boring, and the free roam has lost it's touch in this game.

Sound (out of 6) = 5

The Sound is another thing to be pleased by in this game, it all mostly sounds realistic, but except for the fact that gun shots are heard from very far distances.

General Review (out of 40)= 17

Overall, the 4th installment of the GTA series was a waste of time, a complete disappointment with the same old generally that got boring, the dull story, or the fact that there is not much to do while free roaming, the game is disappointing, with very little ups, it's the worst GTA game and one of the worst PS3 games I've ever played.

Video Game Review: Red Dead Redemption

Rating System:
0-7= 0 Stars
8- 14= 1 Star
15- 21= 2 Stars
22- 30= 3 Stars
31- 35= 4 Stars
36- 40= 5 Stars

- Gameplay(out of 10)= 10
Red Read Redemption generally is one of the best games I played, the gameplay is very entertaining, I love the idea of playing in the Wild West, which gives the player to continuously discover new places, have more challenging missions, better and more amusing fight strategies, and the wild west theme gives the player new punishments, such as having a bounty on the player's head, which by the way makes it harder to shoot people and defend yourself, mainly because in the game almost every civilian has guns, and when there is a bounty on the player's head, almost everyone tries hunting the player down for the money, so obviously gave sandbox gameplay new opportunities and new tactics, but however, there is one minor glitch, and one minor error, the glitch being the fact sometimes people's hands literally go through the concrete, and the error is the fact that the player cannot swim in the game.
- Graphics(out of 8)= 7
Most of the graphics in the game are very powerful and realistic, most of the graphics make the player feel like he or she is acutely in the wild west, but however, some of the big rocks don't look as realistic as most of the landscapes, Items, and characters in the game.
- Presentation(out of 8)= 8
Red Dead Redemption has one of the funnest stories that anyone can find in a movie, which includes a huge supply of great missions and characters, it also gives the players to match tons of fun videos, something that many video games have been lacking for a long time
- Lasting Appeal(out of 8)= 8
By looking at the game's story, it's very easy to tell that Red Dead Redemption will be a game that people will enjoy playing for a long time, for a few reasons, one main reason is the setting, just by knowing that this is a free-roam wild west game the player knows it'll be fun, whether it's hunting, collecting bounties, putting a bounty on the player's head, or even doing missions, the player knows that the game will be fun, and the player also knows that he or she will take at least a few weeks before letting go of the game.
- Sound(out of 6)= 5
Most of the sound in the game is very realistic, excellent voice acting, and sound effects, but the problem with it is that the player could hear gun shots from very long distances, which I don't think sounds realistic at all.
- General Review(out of 40)= 38
Red Dead Redemption could easily be the best game I've ever played, it's realistic, it has many great things to do, a very strong story, that leads to meeting fun characters, or doing fun missions, or even free roaming, Red Dead Redemption is not perfect, it does have some very minor hiccups, but there is no ignoring that it's the best game I've played in a very long time, it put Rockstar games back on the map, after the release of the lackluster GTA IV.

Video Game Review: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2

*Rating System:-
0- 7= 0 Stars
8- 14= 1 Star
15- 21= 2 Stars
22- 30= 3 Stars
31- 35= 4 Stars
36- 40= 5 Stars

Gameplay(out of 10): 6
-Call of Duty: Modern Warfare has the usual Call of Duty and war game style, you know, first person shooter shooting anyone against you in sight, the problem with this one is that this type of gameplay has gotten a bit boring, all war games since the early 21st century has the same gameplay, in other words it has gotten a bit boring, the online gameplay is kinda fun, there is the usual war game gameplay, but a bit harder, which makes it funner, but the problem is that there are a few glitches, and there is no split-screen online gameplay, and i think that the split screen gameplay is fun, and probably the only thing that was not over used in this game.
Graphics(out of 8): 7
-The graphics in this game are generally great, most of the game's graphics are realistic, but in some points the colors seem too bright, or some weapons don't look realistic anymore.
Presentation(out of 8): 4
-The usual Call of Duty presentation since the first Modern Warfare, all of it is just fighting, i did not feel like i was in a war in this game as much as i felt it in the last game, the difference is that in the last game, there was more depth in the whole war in general, in this one there was not really any depth.
Lasting Appeal(out of 8): 5
-The main story mode in this game is generally short, and sometimes pointless, but the online play is allot longer, but the problem is that after you try every mode in the online play for a short period of time, it will get boring, because the player is just going through the same thing over and over again.
Sound(out of 6): 6
-Maybe the best feature in this game, the sound in this game is probably one of the most enjoyable features in a video game, the game basically sounds real, real sounding bombs, bullets, even the voice acting was great.
General Review(out of 40): 28
-The second Modern Warfare, or the sixth Call of Duty is certainly a decent game, but it does not reach to the quality of the last two games for various reasons, and some minor glitches, but overall, the game is fair to decent.

Video Game Review: Super Mario Galaxy 2

*Rating System:
0- 7= 0 Stars
8- 14= 1 Star
15- 21= 2 Stars
22- 30= 3 Stars
31- 35= 4 Stars
36- 40= 5 Stars

Gameplay(out of 10): 9
-The gameplay in Super Mario Galaxy 2 is very similar to the gameplay in Super Mario Galaxy, very similar gameplay, some similar bosses, but with very different levels, the gameplay is mostly funner, but sometimes is gets a bit boring at some levels, you can also play as Luigi, ride Yoshi, and play in 2D in some levels, the gamplay is overall fun, but very similar to the first Super Mario Galaxy.
Graphics(out of 8): 8
-The graphics are a bit improvement over the last Mario Games, as well as improvement from most Wii games, the game is clear and the visuals are just very understandable, graphically, the game is the best on Wii.
Presentation(out of 8): 4
-The Game has the usual Mario plot, you know, collect stars and kill Bowzer, admiringly, this plot is getting a bit boring, another thing that i did not enjoy is the idea that after every star, that big purple luma tells you somethihng, the problem is that it's mostly not important.
Lasting Appeal(out of 8): 8
-There is allot to go with this game, 120 regular stars, 120 green stars, 6 worlds, one bonus world, and in almost every galaxy there is a secret star, so there is allot more to do in this game than the other Mario games.
Sound(out of 6): 4
-The general all around sound in the game is pretty good, but something that i did not enjoy was the fact that the characters still don't talk, you have to read every ting, i mean, it's been over five 3D Mario games, when are the characters going to talk?
General Review(out of 40): 33
-Generally, Super Mario Galaxy 2 is a very powerful game, it's certainly not as good as the first, but still, very strong and powerful, but however, there are allot of stuff repeated in this game, and that is why the first one was better, the idea in this game was not totally fresh, still, it is one of the strongest games on the Wii.

Video Game Review: Super Mario Galaxy

Rating System:
0-7= 0 Stars
8- 14= 1 Star
15- 21= 2 Stars
22- 30= 3 Stars
31- 35= 4 Stars
36- 40= 5 Stars

Gameplay(out of 10): 10
- Super Mario Galaxy is one of the few 3D Mario games, and obviously, a 3D game leads to more advantages then a 2D game, so here is what the game has to present: great and fun worlds, fun, and sometimes difficult bosses, adventurous puzzle-type levels, and good strategy based levels, and that all lived up to my expectations in order to form my favorite game on the Nintendo Wii.
Graphics(out of 8): 6
- The game's graphics comparing to an average Wii game's graphics are great, but comparing to to other games outside Nintend there good, and those good and not great graphics might cause you to miss a few little details, and that's why graphics are important, especially in Mario games, they build the entire atmosphere, and this did not build a complete atmosphere.
Presentation(out of 8): 7
- Super Mario Galaxy's Presentation is like all Mario Game presentations, it gets straight to the idea and point of the game, but however, it can sometimes wastes some valuable playing time.
Lasting Appeal(out of 8): 8
- The game's continues levels and lasting time gives the player allot of time to finish the game, and allot to do as well, weather it's randomly going around free worlds or looking for some secret stars, it's still fun, and gives the player allot of things to do after playing the game.
Sound(out of 6): 5
- Another thing i enjoyed from Super Mario Galaxy was the sound clearity, the sound in the game in generally clear and would be more understandable if the player did not have to read every line.
General Review(out of 40): 36
- Gen rally,Super Mario Galaxy is the best Wii Game, and maybe the best Mario game ever made, all the Mario games are great, but 'Super Mario Galaxy', or 'Super Mario 64 DS' are both the best Mario games ever played, probably Super Mario Galaxy is better than Super Mario 64 DS, there are a few things that one's better than the other.

Nintendo Wii Constole

*Rating System:
0- 7= 0 Stars
8- 14= 1 Star
15- 21= 2 Stars
22- 30= 3 Stars
31- 35= 4 Stars
36- 40= 5 Stars

Design(out of 6): 4
-The Wii generally has a good design, it looks good and convincing, plugging in most the wires is easy, turning it on and off is very easy, and also it's small and portable, but however, there are way too many plugs and parts for it to be moved from place to place.
Price(out of 6): 6
-The price of the Wii is pretty good as well, the price goes up to $150, which is a good affordable price for most people.
Features(out of 8): 4
-The Will has many great features, it has the Mii channel, which is just entertaining, a photo channel which is fun, but however, there are not too many features that come with the console, there are many features that needs to be downloaded.
General Game Quality(out of 8): 8
-Generally, the game quality of the Wii is great, it has very fun gameplay, decent graphics, and also playing the game seems more real than playing games on other consoles.
Internet Connection(out of 6): 6
-It's hard to judge the Wii's Internet connection, because the Internet is a very small part of the Wii, but still, that does not stop it from having a great and powerful Internet connection when needed
Availability of Items(out of 6): 5
-The Wii anyway needs items and accessories in order to be played with, such as that board thing for Wii fit, or the Wii motion plus for the 'Wii Sports Resort' game, it's easy to find all of that, and with a good price, but there are some items that are hard to find.
General Review(out of 40): 33
-The Wii is either the best gaming console or one of the best gaming consoles in my opinion, it has many great gaming methods, not many features that come with the console, but the important thing is that it has all the needed features for the start, and overall, I'd say the Wii is what i would call, in the words of Steve Jobs "big & beautiful".

Play Station 3 Review

Rating System:

0- 7= 0 Stars

15- 21= 2 Stars

22- 30= 3 Stars

31- 35= 4 Stars

Review:-

Design(out of 6): 5

-As of general looks, the Play Station 3 looks great, the black shiny cote at the top of the console really gives it a nice glow, the design is easy to understand as well, honestly it's one of the simplest devices to turn on, or connect the wires, but however, the Play Station 3 is not the type of device you would want to take around from place to place, meaning that it's too big, and that is a major e error.

Price(out of 6): 3

-The Play Station 3 is a bit expensive in my standards, the price is up to $300, and as a result, not everyone can afford it, and besides I'd say the Play Station 3 is worth $200, the device's quality is not up to the $300 price.

Features(out of 8):8

-The Play Station 3 generally has many good features, such as a DVD and Bleuray disk player, USB ports on which you can plug in a hard drive or a USB, the only downside about that is that the drive has to be in a FAT 32 format, the Play Station 3 can play movies and videos in many formats, including MP4, the Play Station 3 can also play music and show pictures.

General Game Quality(out of 8): 7

-Generally, when gaming with any console, the game quality depends on the quality of the game it's self, the same goes for the Play Station 3, that's why I'll talk about the overall game quality in the Play Station 3, games generally have great graphics, and mainly good gameplay, but however, there are always some errors with each game.

Online Connection(out of 6): 2

-The Play Station 3's online connection is not very good, it's a bit complicated to connect the Play Station 3 to the Internet, there are a few online glitches in some online games, the Play Station 3's Internet connection eats up allot of bandwidth, and it sometimes looses the connection faster than how a computer looses an Internet connection, but at least it sometimes workers well.

Availability of Items(out of 6): 6

-There are allot of items and accessories available for the Play Station 3, you can use a hard drive, only if it's FAT 32 format, you can play blueray disks, any DVDs, and music CDs on it, there are different wires for it such as the HDMI, which are easy to find and are generally cheap, and also there are allot of items to find for the Play Station 3.

General Review(out of 40): 31

-Generally the Play Station 3 is a good gaming console, with some minor glitches that really effected the productivity of the console, but still, a very good console to say the least, admittedly not as good as the Wii, but still very good.
