Video Game Review: Grand Theft Auto IV

Rating System:

0-7= 0 Stars
8-14= 1 Star
15-21= 2 Stars
22-30= 3 Stars
31-35= 4 Stars
36-40= 5 Stars

Gameplay (out of 10)= 3

Grand Theft Auto IV is praised by most people, but not me, one perfect reason is the same old GTA gameplay, the gameplay in GTA IV is pretty much the same as the gameply in all the other Grand Theft Auto games, it's all shooting and stealing cars and stuff, it's fun during the first 15 minutes, but after that it's clear that it's something that has lost it's sense of enjoyment during the PSP's Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories game.

Graphics (out of 8)= 6

The graphics is probably one of the only very few improvement of the Grand Theft Auto game, the game almost looks realistic, but the problem with it is that some cars don't look real, or that there are allot of characters that look alike, and sometimes there next to each other, those two errors kept the game away from looking realistic, but otherwise, the graphics is probably the only thing to look forward to in this game.

Presentation (out of 8)= 2

The game circles around an immigrant from Bosnia named Nikko, who is trying to find the American dream, which was honestly a stupid story for a video game, but then after that, Rockstar games randomly decides to let gangs and mobs attack him, probably the only ups to the story is the fact that people know that there will be allot of action, and the fact that the main character is not a gang member, unlike all the other GTA games, but those two minor ups to the story can't make me forget the fact that this story is one of the dullest stories I've heard for a video game.

Lasting Appeal (out of 8)= 2

There is pretty much nothing to do in the game except for stealing and shooting, there was not really any major attraction that will make the player keep going for more, the missions are boring, and the free roam has lost it's touch in this game.

Sound (out of 6) = 5

The Sound is another thing to be pleased by in this game, it all mostly sounds realistic, but except for the fact that gun shots are heard from very far distances.

General Review (out of 40)= 17

Overall, the 4th installment of the GTA series was a waste of time, a complete disappointment with the same old generally that got boring, the dull story, or the fact that there is not much to do while free roaming, the game is disappointing, with very little ups, it's the worst GTA game and one of the worst PS3 games I've ever played.

Video Game Review: Red Dead Redemption

Rating System:
0-7= 0 Stars
8- 14= 1 Star
15- 21= 2 Stars
22- 30= 3 Stars
31- 35= 4 Stars
36- 40= 5 Stars

- Gameplay(out of 10)= 10
Red Read Redemption generally is one of the best games I played, the gameplay is very entertaining, I love the idea of playing in the Wild West, which gives the player to continuously discover new places, have more challenging missions, better and more amusing fight strategies, and the wild west theme gives the player new punishments, such as having a bounty on the player's head, which by the way makes it harder to shoot people and defend yourself, mainly because in the game almost every civilian has guns, and when there is a bounty on the player's head, almost everyone tries hunting the player down for the money, so obviously gave sandbox gameplay new opportunities and new tactics, but however, there is one minor glitch, and one minor error, the glitch being the fact sometimes people's hands literally go through the concrete, and the error is the fact that the player cannot swim in the game.
- Graphics(out of 8)= 7
Most of the graphics in the game are very powerful and realistic, most of the graphics make the player feel like he or she is acutely in the wild west, but however, some of the big rocks don't look as realistic as most of the landscapes, Items, and characters in the game.
- Presentation(out of 8)= 8
Red Dead Redemption has one of the funnest stories that anyone can find in a movie, which includes a huge supply of great missions and characters, it also gives the players to match tons of fun videos, something that many video games have been lacking for a long time
- Lasting Appeal(out of 8)= 8
By looking at the game's story, it's very easy to tell that Red Dead Redemption will be a game that people will enjoy playing for a long time, for a few reasons, one main reason is the setting, just by knowing that this is a free-roam wild west game the player knows it'll be fun, whether it's hunting, collecting bounties, putting a bounty on the player's head, or even doing missions, the player knows that the game will be fun, and the player also knows that he or she will take at least a few weeks before letting go of the game.
- Sound(out of 6)= 5
Most of the sound in the game is very realistic, excellent voice acting, and sound effects, but the problem with it is that the player could hear gun shots from very long distances, which I don't think sounds realistic at all.
- General Review(out of 40)= 38
Red Dead Redemption could easily be the best game I've ever played, it's realistic, it has many great things to do, a very strong story, that leads to meeting fun characters, or doing fun missions, or even free roaming, Red Dead Redemption is not perfect, it does have some very minor hiccups, but there is no ignoring that it's the best game I've played in a very long time, it put Rockstar games back on the map, after the release of the lackluster GTA IV.
